AN ACT PERMITTING BOARDS OF EDUCATION TO INCLUDE A COURSE OR PROGRAM ABOUT VETERANS AND THEIR MILITARY SERVICE IN THE EDUCATION CURRICULUM FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-16b of the general statutes be amended to allow local and regional boards of education to include a course or program relating to American veterans and their military service as part of the public school curriculum for the school district.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow school districts to include a course or program about veterans and their military service to our country as part of the education curriculum for the district.
