AN ACT CONCERNING AN INCREASE IN THE THRESHOLD FOR DONATIONS UNDER THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to provide that candidates raise one-half of the statutory grant amount in donations to receive a matching grant that equals a one-to-one match.
Statement of Purpose:
To require candidates participating in the Citizens' Election Program to raise donations in relation to the size of the grant they receive.
