AN ACT CONCERNING LEGAL PROTECTIONS FOR A PERSON WHO ENTERS AN AUTOMOBILE TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO A CHILD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 925 of the general statutes be amended to provide an affirmative defense from civil or criminal liability to a person who renders emergency aid to a child located in an automobile that is owned by, or in the control of, another person.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide legal protections to a person who enters the automobile of another, including an entry by force, to render emergency assistance to a child.
