AN ACT EXPANDING THE BOTTLE BILL TO INCLUDE WINE AND LIQUOR BEVERAGE CONTAINERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 22a-243 of the general statutes be amended to include wine and liquor beverage containers and impose a fifteen cent refund value on each such container.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase moneys that will escheat to the state through unclaimed refunds on bottle deposits and to reduce litter and solid waste generation while increasing incentives to recycle.
