AN ACT CONCERNING THE PURCHASE OF TRUST-PREFERRED SECURITIES BY THE STATE TREASURER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize the State Treasurer to purchase trust-preferred securities from Connecticut chartered banks.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow the State Treasurer to invest in Connecticut banks and provide such banks with increased capital.
