AN ACT CONCERNING VOTING BY RESIDENT ALIEN PROPERTY OWNERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 152 of the general statutes, concerning referenda, be amended to permit lawful resident alien property owners to vote at elections at which nonelector property owners are otherwise permitted.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow lawful resident alien property owners to vote in elections at which nonelector property owners are otherwise permitted, primarily for budget referenda.
