AN ACT CONCERNING THE ELIMINATION OF THE AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER TAX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 211a of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the ambulatory surgical center tax.

Statement of Purpose:

To maintain patient access and cost savings currently realized by patients, employers and government payers when surgical care is provided within community-based ambulatory surgical centers as defined in 42 CFR 416.2 by eliminating the ambulatory surgical center tax.
