AN ACT CONCERNING DISCLOSURE WHEN CAMPAIGN MATERIALS ARE PURCHASED WITH MONEY FROM THE CITIZENS' ELECTION FUND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to require that campaign materials purchased with Citizens' Election Program funds include a disclaimer stating "Paid for with public funds."
Statement of Purpose:
To promote transparency in the Citizens' Election Program by requiring campaign materials to include a disclaimer stating that materials were paid for with public funds.
