AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAMS OF EAST HARTFORD AND MANCHESTER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate two hundred fifty thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Housing for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid of one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars each to the towns of East Hartford and Manchester to expand their respective housing rehabilitation programs.

Statement of Purpose:

To authorize bonds of the state to expand the housing rehabilitation programs of the towns of East Hartford and Manchester to assist additional homeowners.
