AN ACT CONCERNING THE NUMBER OF POLLING PLACES FOR A PRIMARY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to permit registrars to reduce the number of polling places for a primary, provided there is an opportunity for citizen input and that adequate notice is provided to candidates and electors.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the financial impact of elections on municipalities while protecting the right to vote.
