AN ACT CONCERNING AN INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF FEDERAL FUNDS RECEIVED BY STATE AGENCIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than July 1, 2010, the Commissioners of Social Services, Children and Families, Mental Health and Addiction Services, and Developmental Services shall each submit a plan to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to human services and appropriations and the budgets of state agencies, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, detailing ways each department shall increase the amount of federal funding the department receives in the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2010. The plan shall include, but not be limited to: (1) A description of the federal funds the commissioner intends to take action to obtain; (2) the amount of federal funds available or that the commissioner reasonably believes the department will obtain; (3) the action required to obtain such funds; (4) the date by which the commissioner intends to take such action; and (5) the date by which the commissioner reasonably believes such funds will be obtained.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
