AN ACT PERMITTING BOARDS OF EDUCATION TO ADOPT POLICIES PROHIBITING THE CENSORSHIP OF STUDENT NEWSPAPERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to permit local and regional boards of education to adopt policies that prohibit the censorship of student newspapers.

Statement of Purpose:

To permit local and regional boards of education to adopt policies that prohibit the censorship of student newspapers.
