AN ACT CONCERNING THE AGE OF JUVENILE JURISDICTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to delay until July 1, 2014, the implementation of provisions raising the age of juvenile jurisdiction to include children seventeen years of age.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce costly mandates on municipalities by delaying implementation of provisions that treat seventeen year olds as children in juvenile matters.
