AN ACT CONCERNING A FOSTER CARE STIPEND FOR GRANDPARENTS AWARDED CUSTODY OF GRANDCHILDREN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to provide a stipend similar to payment received by a foster parent to grandparents who have been awarded custody of their grandchildren.

Statement of Purpose:

To assist grandparents who have been awarded custody of their grandchildren.
