AN ACT RESTORING EDUCATION COST-SHARING GRANT FUNDING TO TOWNS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That, notwithstanding the provisions of section 2-33c of the general statutes, the sum of ninety million dollars be transferred from the Budget Reserve Fund, established pursuant to section 4-30a of the general statutes, to the General Fund of the state for the purpose of restoring equalization aid grant funding to towns, pursuant to section 10-262h of the general statutes, in an amount equal to the reductions made by the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management pursuant to section 13 or 14 of public act 17-2 of the June special session or subsection (d) of section 12-170f of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To restore education cost-sharing grant funding to those towns whose grants were reduced by the executive branch.
