AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF TEMPORARY PARKING PERMITS ALLOWING PREGNANT WOMEN TO PARK IN SPACES DESIGNATED FOR PERSONS WHO ARE BLIND OR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 14-253a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue, upon request of any pregnant woman, a temporary parking permit, which shall expire ninety days after issuance, allowing any such woman operating a motor vehicle or who is a passenger in a motor vehicle to park such vehicle in any space designated for persons who are blind and persons with disabilities.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide temporary parking permits for pregnant women wishing to park a vehicle in a parking space designated for persons who are blind and persons with disabilities.
