AN ACT REQUIRING CONNECTICUT PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION TO GIVE PRIORITY TO IN-STATE STUDENTS FOR ADMISSION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to require public institutions of higher education in this state to give priority to in-state students for admission to such institutions.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that taxpayer subsidies to Connecticut public institutions of higher education are used first for Connecticut citizens.
