AN ACT EXPANDING THE SALES TAX EXEMPTION FOR MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND DEVICES TO INCLUDE FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subdivision (19) of section 12-412 of the 2016 supplement to the general statutes be amended to exempt feminine hygiene products from the sales tax pursuant to the exemption for medical supplies and devices.

Statement of Purpose:

To exempt feminine hygiene products from the sales tax pursuant to the exemption for medical supplies and devices.
