AN ACT PROHIBITING THE COLLECTION OF CERTAIN FEES FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR'S LICENSE INDICATING A PERSON'S STATUS AS A VETERAN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 14 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of Motor Vehicles from charging a veteran a thirty-dollar fee when such veteran requests a motor vehicle operator's license reflecting his or her status as a veteran.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow a veteran to obtain a motor vehicle operator's license reflecting his or her status as a veteran without having to pay a thirty-dollar fee.
