AN ACT CONCERNING THE COST OF RESIDENT STATE POLICE OFFICERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 29-5 of the general statutes be amended to require the state to reimburse a town or towns the costs of compensation, maintenance and other expenses of the resident state police officer appointed to such town or towns incurred for services provided by such resident state police officer on state highways or outside the boundaries of such town or towns.

Statement of Purpose:

To reimburse towns for the costs incurred when the resident state police officer provides services on state highways or outside the boundaries of such towns.
