AN ACT PROHIBITING CONNECTICUT BANKS FROM REQUIRING A THUMBPRINT FOR CHECK CASHING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 36a-317b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit Connecticut banks from requiring the thumbprint of a customer for purposes of check cashing.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit Connecticut banks from requiring customers to provide their thumbprint as a prerequisite to check cashing.
