AN ACT CONCERNING THE DISPATCH CENTERS WITHIN THE DIVISION OF STATE POLICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than July 1, 2016, the Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection shall (1) reinstate the following dispatch centers within the barracks of the Division of State Police as such dispatch centers existed on April 1, 2012: Troop A in Southbury, Troop B in North Canaan, Troop C in Tolland, Troop D in Danielson, Troop E in Montville, Troop K in Colchester and Troop L in Litchfield, and (2) staff at least one state police officer and one telecommunicator at each dispatch center within such barracks. For the purposes of this section, "telecommunicator" has the same meaning as provided in section 28-30 of the general statutes.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
