AN ACT CONCERNING TAX CREDITS FOR CORPORATIONS THAT DONATE TO SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND A NONPUBLIC SCHOOL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 208 of the general statutes be amended to allow a tax credit of up to two thousand dollars for corporations that donate to scholarship funds for middle and lower income students to attend a nonpublic school.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage businesses to provide charitable donations to help low and middle income students attend nonpublic schools by offering a tax credit.
