AN ACT CONCERNING THE TAXATION OF SOCIAL SECURITY INCOME AND THE ELIMINATION OF THE EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to exempt Social Security income from the personal income tax and eliminate the earned income tax credit.

Statement of Purpose:

To exempt Social Security income from the personal income tax and eliminate the earned income tax credit.
