AN ACT CONCERNING REIMBURSEMENT UNDER THE STANDARD SPACE SPECIFICATIONS FORMULA FOR OLDER BUILDINGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-286 of the general statutes be amended to exempt unusable square footage from the state standard space specifications in school renovation projects for buildings constructed prior to 1950, and to require the Department of Education to adopt regulations amending the state standard space specifications for school renovation projects in kindergarten to grade eight, inclusive, schools.
Statement of Purpose:
To amend the school construction reimbursement formula for renovation projects at schools that are in buildings constructed prior to 1950 and kindergarten to grade eight schools.
