AN ACT ELIMINATING THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to repeal the Citizens' Election Program and to replace such program with a system of full disclosure for the receipt of campaign contributions. Such system shall allow candidates to receive campaign contributions from any source, provided the treasurer for such candidate shall be required to report the source and amount of such contribution.
Statement of Purpose:
To make for a more open and transparent campaign finance system.
