AN ACT CONCERNING A CAP ON THE PETROLEUM PRODUCTS GROSS EARNINGS TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-587 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the maximum petroleum products gross earnings tax would be three dollars per gallon.
Statement of Purpose:
To cap the wholesale gas tax to help lower the high taxes associated with the purchase of gasoline.
