AN ACT CONCERNING THE REIMBURSEMENT OF TOWNS FOR THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAGNET SCHOOL TUITION PAYMENTS AND ECS PER PUPIL GRANTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to reimburse towns for the portion of interdistrict magnet school tuition payments that towns are required to pay to interdistrict magnet schools that is above the per pupil amount the town receives under the education cost sharing formula.

Statement of Purpose:

To compensate towns for the increasing costs associated with the requirement that towns be responsible for interdistrict magnet school tuition payments.
