AN ACT ELIMINATING THE BUDGET DEFICIT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 1 to 20, inclusive, of public act 09-3 of the June special session be amended to reduce all appropriated amounts by three per cent, except that any such reduction shall not be made that will (1) result in the reduction or elimination of any federal funds that are or may become available to the state, (2) result in a reduction in state aid to municipalities, (3) reduce an appropriation that has been otherwise reduced during the current fiscal year by more than ten per cent or (4) result in less than ninety per cent of an appropriation for which requisitions for the allotment of such appropriation have been reduced by the Governor during the current fiscal year being made available for expenditure.

Statement of Purpose:

To make across-the-board budget reductions to eliminate the budget deficit.
