AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRIVATIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) (a) The Department of Motor Vehicles shall enter into a privatization contract, as defined in section 4e-1 of the general statutes, to privatize services provided by the department that are not privatized as of the effective date of this section.

(b) Prior to entering into a privatization contract, the Department of Motor Vehicles shall comply with the provisions of section 4e-16 of the general statutes.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	from passage	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To privatize the Department of Motor Vehicles.
