AN ACT REQUIRING DNA TESTING OF CERTAIN ARRESTED PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 54-102g of the general statutes be amended to require a person to submit to the taking of a DNA sample upon such person's third arrest for an offense punishable by a term of imprisonment.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the accurate identification of persons who commit crimes by requiring a DNA sample be taken from persons upon a third arrest for an offense punishable by a term of imprisonment.
