AN ACT CONCERNING LABELING OF PRESCRIPTION DRUG CONTAINERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 20 of the general statutes be amended to require a pharmacist who dispenses a generic prescription drug to label the container of the generic prescription drug with both the generic name and the brand name of the drug.

Statement of Purpose:

To create transparency and convenience for purchasers of prescription drugs.
