AN ACT CONCERNING REIMBURSEMENT TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR FORMER MAGNET SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ENROLL IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL AFTER OCTOBER FIRST.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 172 of the general statutes be amended to provide reimbursement on a pro rata basis to local and regional boards of education for each student who was previously enrolled in an interdistrict magnet school and enrolls in a public school under the jurisdiction of such board of education after October first of the school year.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide reimbursement on a pro rata basis to school districts for former magnet school students who enroll in a public school after October first.
