AN ACT CONCERNING THE TEACHING OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-16b of the general statutes be amended to permit local and regional boards of education to offer foreign language instruction to students enrolled in preschool, kindergarten and elementary school.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the teaching of foreign languages in schools by permitting school districts to offer such courses in preschool, kindergarten and elementary school.
