AN ACT PROVIDING COST-OF-LIVING INCREASES FOR PRIVATE PROVIDERS AND ELIMINATING THE EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That funds be appropriated to each budgeted state agency that contracts with private providers for the provision of human services for the purpose of providing a cost-of-living rate increase in the amount of five per cent to such providers, and that the cost of such cost-of-living rate increase be offset by eliminating earned income tax credits allowed under section 12-704e of the 2014 supplement to the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To restore budget cuts made to private providers and to eliminate the earned income tax credit.
