CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE—
2021–2022 REGULAR SESSION
Senate Bill
No. 705
| Introduced by Senator Hueso |
February 19, 2021 |
An act to amend Section 23664 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to alcoholic beverages.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 705, as introduced, Hueso.
Alcoholic beverages: imports.
Existing law, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, which is administered by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, regulates the importation of alcoholic beverages into the state. Existing law provides that specified railroads, boats, steamship companies, and air common carriers are not deemed to be importers and are not subject to an importer’s license for bringing alcoholic beverages into the state, under specified circumstances.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes in those exemption provisions.
