An act to amend Section 156 of the Labor Code, relating to employment.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 335, as amended, Cortese.
Labor statistics: annual report.
Existing law requires the Department of Industrial Relations to complete and publish an annual report containing statistics on state work injuries and occupational diseases and fatalities by industry classifications by December 31 of the following calendar year and requires all of the reports and statistics to be available to the public.
This bill would specify that the reports and statistics described above are required to be available to the public in a manner determined by the department. require the department to submit the annual report to the Legislature and the Governor.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 156 of the Labor Code is amended to read:156.
(a) An annual report containing statistics on California work injuries and occupational diseases and fatalities by industry classifications shall be completed and published by the department no later than December 31 of the following calendar year.(b) The report shall be submitted in compliance with Section 9795 of the Government Code.
