BILL NUMBER: SB 267 INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Senator Benoit FEBRUARY 24, 2009 An act relating to environmental protection. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 267, as introduced, Benoit. Environmental protection: green jobs. Existing law defines, among other things "sustainable green building" and "green business program" for the purposes of conserving natural resources and protecting the environment. This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would define "green jobs." Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Legislature intends to enact legislation to define "green jobs."
