An act to amend Section 10025 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, relating to public social services.

SB 1460, as introduced, Stern. Public social services: health care insurance.
Existing law prohibits the state from reimbursing a local government or any facility thereof, under Medi-Cal or under any other health program if the state pays part or all of the costs, for care provided to a person covered under any disability insurance, health insurance, or prepaid health plan. Under existing law, for local programs fully or partially funded by the state, state participation is reduced by an amount proportionate to the cost of service paid by private health care coverage.
This bill would make technical, non substantive changes to those provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 10025 of the Welfare and Institutions Code is amended to read:

10025.
 (a) The state shall not reimburse any a local government or any a facility thereof, under Medi-Cal or under any other health program where if the state pays part or all of the costs, for care provided to a person covered under any disability insurance, health insurance, or prepaid health plan.

In

(b) For local programs fully or partially funded by the state, state participation shall be reduced in an amount proportionate to the cost of service provided to a person violating Section 10020.
