An act to amend Section 981.6 of the Military and Veterans Code, relating to veterans.

AB 826, as introduced, Jeff Gonzalez. Veterans’ benefits.
Existing law makes a veteran ineligible to receive state educational benefits at the same time that they are receiving federal educational benefits.
This bill would make technical, non-substantive changes to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 981.6 of the Military and Veterans Code is amended to read:

981.6.
 No A veteran who is receiving federal educational benefits shall be is not eligible to receive the educational benefits provided by this article during such the time that he is they are receiving federal educational benefits.
