An act to amend Section 51762 of the Education Code, relating to pupil instruction.

AB 821, as introduced, Gipson. Pupil instruction: work experience education.
Existing law requires the adopted course of study for grades 7 to 12, inclusive, to include certain areas of study, including, among others, career technical education, as specified. Existing law requires the State Department of Education to adopt any rules and regulations necessary to implement the standards set by the Superintendent of Public Instruction in order to maintain the educational purpose and character of work experience education.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the latter provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 51762 of the Education Code is amended to read:

51762.
 The Department of Education department shall adopt any rules and regulations necessary to implement the standards set by the Superintendent of Public Instruction, in order to maintain the educational purpose and character of work experience education.
