	BILL TEXT

INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Nazarian

                        FEBRUARY 25, 2015

An act to amend Section 28100 of the Vehicle Code, relating to
vehicles.

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 726, as introduced, Nazarian. Vehicles: pilot cars.
Existing law requires a pilot car, which is a vehicle that escorts
oversized or special load vehicles, to display at least one red
warning flag on each side of the vehicle and requires the flags to be
a minimum of 16 square inches and visible from both the front and
rear of the vehicle.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that
provision.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 28100 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:

be mounted so as to be visible from both the front
and rear of the vehicle. The flags shall be removed or covered when
the vehicle is not operating as a pilot car.
