   An act relating to Medi-Cal.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 511, as introduced, De La Torre. Medi-Cal: ambulance providers:
quality assurance fees.
   Existing law provides for the Medi-Cal program, which is
administered by the State Department of Health Care Services, under
which health care services are provided to qualified low-income
persons.
   Existing law establishes a quality assurance fee program for
skilled nursing and intermediate care facilities, as prescribed.
   This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would require the State Department of Health Care
Services to establish a quality assurance fee program for ambulance
providers within the Medi-Cal program.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would require the State Department of Health Care
Services to establish a quality assurance fee program for ambulance
providers within the Medi-Cal program.
