   An act to amend Section 1410 of the Elections Code, relating to
elections.



	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2550, as introduced, Roger Hernández. Local referendum.
   Existing law requires an election for a county or municipal
referendum that qualifies, as specified, to be held at the
jurisdiction's next regular election occurring not less than 88 days
after the date of the order of election or at a special election
called for that purpose not less than 88 days after the date of the
order of election.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to this
provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 1410 of the Elections Code is amended to read:
   1410.  The election for a county or municipal referendum that
qualifies  pursuant to   under  Section
9144 or 9237 shall be held at the jurisdiction's next regular
election occurring not less than 88 days after the date of the order
of election or at a special election called for that purpose not less
than 88 days after the date of the order of election.
