AB 1317, as introduced, Berman. Clean energy.
Existing law establishes as policy of the state that eligible renewable energy resources and zero-carbon resources supply 100% of retail sales of electricity to California end-use customers and 100% of electricity procured to serve all state agencies by December 31, 2045.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation to accelerate the state’s progress toward having 100% of electricity provided by renewable or other zero-carbon sources while maintaining a reliable and resilient electricity grid.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation to accelerate the state’s progress toward having 100 percent of electricity provided by renewable or other zero-carbon sources while maintaining a reliable and resilient electricity grid.
