CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2019–2020 REGULAR SESSION

Assembly Bill No. 1019

Introduced by Assembly Member Frazier

February 21, 2019

An act to amend Section 1208.65 of the Code of Civil Procedure, relating to liens.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1019, as introduced, Frazier. Liens: general aviation aircraft.
Under existing law a person has a lien, dependent upon possession, for the amount the person is owed for any services, materials, or storage provided for any aircraft, unless specified exceptions apply. If the lienholder is not paid the amount due within 10 days of its due date, existing law provides that the lienholder is entitled to sell the aircraft at a public auction in satisfaction of the lien.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.
Vote: MAJORITY   Appropriation: NO   Fiscal Committee: NO   Local Program: NO

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 1208.65 of the Code of Civil Procedure is amended to read:

1208.65.
