A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
recognizing Benson Primary School for outstanding achievement.

Whereas, Benson Primary School was designated as a "2016 Game Plan for Success Learning Heroes Winner," an honor bestowed on only two schools in Arizona and ten schools in the nation, and as a "2015 A+ School of Excellence" by the Arizona Educational Foundation; and
Whereas, in 2013, 2014 and 2015, Benson Primary School was named as a "High Performing Reward School" by the Arizona Department of Education; and
Whereas, the United States Department of Education recognized Benson Primary School as a "2014 Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence," an honor bestowed on only four schools in Arizona and 48 schools in the nation; and
Whereas, on December 8, 2014, the Arizona State Board of Education recognized Benson Primary School for its outstanding leadership, dedication and hard work; and
Whereas, Benson Primary School has been designated as an "A" label school by the Arizona Department of Education in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 and was within the number one ranked district in the State of Arizona in 2013 and was within the top ten districts in the State of Arizona in 2014; and
Whereas, in 2013, Benson Primary School was recognized as the number one traditional elementary school in all of Cochise County and as an Arizona Department of Education Title I Reward School; and
Whereas, in 2012, 2013 and 2014, the National Center for Educational Achievement, a department of Advancing Toward College and Career Readiness, identified Benson Primary School as a Higher Performing School.
Therefore
Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the Members of the Legislature recognize the remarkable efforts and accomplishments of the faculty, staff and students of the Benson Primary School.
