(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE)

To the Arizona Department of Transportation:

Your memorialist respectfully represents:

Whereas, Donald J. Trump was the 45th duly elected President of the United States; and

Whereas, President Donald J. Trump stood for a strong manufacturing base and fair agreements for international trade; and

Whereas, President Trump steadfastly supported a strong military and strengthening our national defense; and

Whereas, President Trump's energy plan included several ambitious policy prescriptions designed to establish American energy dominance and to remove regulatory burdens on using energy, while at the same time ensuring meaningful environmental protection and continued progress toward cleaner air and water; and

Whereas, President Trump helped pass $3.2 trillion in historic tax relief and reform the tax code; and

Whereas, President Donald J. Trump canceled United States participation in the United Nations Paris Climate Agreement and ended all payments of United States tax dollars to the United Nations Green Climate Fund; and

Whereas, President Trump discontinued the use of "sue and settle" lawsuits that had the effect of imposing government policy on behalf of special interests without congressional authorization or input from the states, other interested parties and the general public; and

Whereas, during his years in office, 4,000,000 jobs were created, more than 400,000 of those in manufacturing, which was the fastest manufacturing growth rate in more than three decades; and

Whereas, President Trump signed the Executive Order on Modernizing the Regulatory Framework for Agricultural Biotechnology Products, which helped bring innovative new technologies to market in American farming and agriculture; and

Whereas, President Trump established the Governors' Initiative on Regulatory Innovation to reduce outdated regulations at the state, local and tribal levels; and

Whereas, President Trump suspended regulations that would have slowed the response to COVID-19, including lifting restrictions on manufacturers to more quickly produce ventilators; and

Whereas, President Trump helped achieve a record-setting economic comeback during the COVID-19 pandemic by rejecting blanket lockdowns that crush the economy and inflict countless public health harms; and

Whereas, during the third quarter of 2020, the economy grew at a rate of 33.1%, the most rapid GDP growth ever recorded; and

Whereas, President Trump's administration launched Operation Warp Speed to initiate an unprecedented drive to develop and make available an effective COVID-19 vaccine; and

Whereas, Donald J. Trump's top priority as president was the best interests of American workers and American families.

Wherefore your memorialist, the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring, prays:

1. That the Arizona Department of Transportation designate State Route 260 as the "Donald J. Trump Highway".

2. That the Arizona Department of Transportation approve, place and maintain appropriate signage to identify the Donald J. Trump Highway.

3. That the Secretary of State transmit a copy of this Memorial to the Director of the Arizona Department of Transportation.
