AN ACT
amending Title 15, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-701.02; relating to school instruction.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 15, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-701.02, to read:
15-701.02. History education programs; instruction on roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people
In adopting the course of study and competency requirements pursuant to sections 15-701 and 15-701.01, the state board of education shall include a requirement that all history education programs include instruction regarding the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the history of the United States and this state.
