AN ACT

 

Appropriating monies to the arizona criminal justice commission.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; Arizona criminal justice commission; domestic violence nonfatal strangulation forensic examinations

The sum of $500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2020-2021 to the Arizona criminal justice commission to distribute to counties with a population of less than five hundred thousand persons for domestic violence nonfatal strangulation forensic examinations.  The commission shall allocate the appropriation on a pro rata basis according to the number of domestic violence assault cases in counties with a population of less than five hundred thousand persons during the previous calendar year.
